Which areas do you cover ?

Thirsty Darlings cover the Surrey & Sussex area only.

Can i supply my own alcohol?

No. Due to our licensing and insurance this is not a service we can provide.

Do you supply dry bar hire ?

Dry hire option is available with a minimum of 2 bar staff. Cost includes set up and pack down.

Can i see an example bar menu ?

Yes of course. Please jump on over to our contact page and request an example bar menu.

Do you supply a bartender only service ?

No. unfortunately this is not a service we provide.

Types of payment.

We offer three simple payment options.

  1. Pay as you go (guests pay)

  2. Part-paid (once it’s gone, switching to pay as you go bar)

  3. ) Fully paid (pre paid prior to the event )

Do i require a T.E.N?

Yes - more than likely. If your event requires a temporary events notice (TEN) for the sale of alcohol, we can apply directly for this on your behalf, removing another element of the hosting headache. The fee for this is prepaid prior to your booking service payment.

T.E.N application must be submitted at the very latest 3 weeks prior to the event date.

We can not guarantee all T.E.N.S applications will be successful. This falls to the local council and police department.

Event organisers will apply for T.E.N or other such licensing when overseeing larger events such as festivals and other multi vender/ entertainment.

Additional Darling staff members

Should your event numbers or requirements need more than 1 or two Darlings team memembers, we can happily supply further staffing at cost.

What important requirements do you have ?

It is very important that a flat and level floor space is available.

We require a clear access and exit route, with additional space to turn into space if required.

Electrical requirement are that of a 3kw /13 Amp plug sock to run our fridges, lights and payment systems.

We also provide an alternative generator service. It is worth keeping in mind that generators do produce a fair amount of noise. We recommend the use of a generator for larger public events, in the event that no electrical hook up is available. Generator and fuel can be added to your final payment invoice.

Consistent and reliable 4G - 5G or Wifi to run our payment system and card machines. If this is not available, you will need to tell us at the time of booking . We will then confirm that we can work to a cash only bar - do not forget to update your guests !

Should glassware be part of your confirmed booking, we will require access to a sink and or kitchen with running water. Damage and replacement info is provided within our booking T&Cs

The Thirsty darlings horse box bar requires a clear 3 x 3 meter clearing to set up. Additional space will be reuired for turning, parking and exit.

PLEASE do let us know if your event is to take part on grass , hills , slopes or in a field prior to booking.

Set up and breakdown information.

Set up time can vary depending on event styling requests and location. As a minimum we require 2hours. We can guide and identify set up time whilst liaising with you.

Breakdown time is standardly between 1 - 2 hours.

Payment.

Payment for all Thirsty Darling services must be made in full prior, within the time frame stated in our T&Cs prior to the event .

Costing.

Our basic guideline of our costing works to a £1000 minimum spend, 80-100 guest ratio with a non refundable £250 deposit.

Which insurance and licensing do you provide?

As part of our service we provide public liability insurance, P.AT testing, risk assessment, food hygiene certificate and a licensee.

Event bar styling

Styling of the Darling horse box bar and flexi Darling bar from our current dressing repertoire is included with your booking and our service package. Additional styling elements are available and the fee for these are available on request.

Staff uniform.

Depending on your event requirements Thirsty Darlings staff will be dressed in our country uniform of tweed flat cap, silk neck scarf, green gilet. A shirt or black long sleeve jumper ( weather depending) will accompany this . Additional options of Black branded T-Shirt or uniform styling to tie in with a event theme can be arranged at cost.

Guest numbers.

We have a minimum guest number of 80 people. For private events we standardly cater to around 300 guests.

For public event, the bar service capacity is excessively larger.
